A Kreative Kids Life

We are, Kreative Kids, or rather; we once were Kreative Kids now we are Kreative adults with the desire to instill our love of the arts to children. We met in 2005 when Margie became the music teacher at the private school for children with special needs where I was teaching art. While working at the school we realized how wonderful the arts were as an outlet for children with special needs. We also found that there were not enough opportunities for children to experience the arts outside of school. Hence we founded our little art and music academy in Hillsborough, NJ. Our goal is to provide a rich arts experience to children of all ages and abilities and to ensure ALL children have the opportunity to KREATE.

We opened Kreative Kids Art and Music Academy two years ago, and what a crazy two years it has been. We left our teaching jobs, I had triplets, and we have learned a ton about running a business- something we knew nothing about before we opened. Then we were two teachers on a mission to Kreate a beautiful arts space and an exciting arts experience for children but we had no business training or (business) sense for that matter. Now we are running a successful small business and loving it!!!

While working to run our small business I am raising my 16 month old triplets, Sydney, Ava, and Eli. Margie helps a lot, not only with the business, but also with parenting advice; she has raised 4 grown children and has 6 beautiful grandchildren.  A Kreative Kids Life will share stories of our families, our creative lives, our business, and the lessons we teach.
